Another thing to consider: Do they aulaclty want to be bombarded with free stuff?I’m not sure I can explain this properly, but military people can be prideful. They may not appreciate being thought of as second class citizens and can only afford free stuff all the time.I’m sure it’s the same in the US as it is in the UK. Our military are not exactly highly paid, but they’re not exactly impoverished either. We all love a good deal, and the odd freebie, but perhaps (if you’re not careful) they can feel patronised by your offer. For what they do, they definitely deserve our support, but perhaps do it in a way that their pride won’t get dented.[]Jenika Reply:November 1st, 2012 at 4:23 pmThanks for this thoughtful comment, Andrew definitely something for C.S. (and all of us) to consider. (I mentioned in my last post before embarking on a giving campaign, it’s important to check with the audience that what you’re giving is what you aulaclty need.) I’m sure there’s a way, as you mentioned, to support them without implying that they need or want free stuff.[]
