How do I develop a compelling Web Design portfolio from scratch? Or do I get a job to get the portfolio going?

Posted on: May 21st, 2010 by admin 2 Comments

I am a recent college graduate with a major in internet web design. I consider myself an intermediate level developer, but I just don’t know where to start with a portfolio! Every time I apply for a job, I get kicked to the curb by more advanced people with great portfolios. And how do I get one going if I don’t have one in the first place? Suggestions?

Q&A: Am I buying from Amazon directly or from someone else?

Posted on: September 18th, 2008 by admin 1 Comment

Question by Candygirl: Am I buying from Amazon directly or from someone else?
Amazon, like eBay, has other people who sell their stuff on the website new and used. But with ebay it’s just other people selling their stuff.

My question is that if I’m going to buy something new from Amazon and I hit the “Add to Shopping Cart” button (without going to that page where the new and used sellers are listed with their prices), am I adding something to my cart that is being sold by Amazon THEMSELVES or by some other seller who’s trying to sell their stuff?

Best answer:

Answer by ensnentill
It depends on the item. Check the item description, if it says that it ships from X seller, then it comes from someone other than Amazon.
